About
We create premier social events for young adults to build meaningful community in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
Build community
DC Social Collective brings together hundreds of young adults each month, consistently filling venues and making space for real connection. Whether you are new to town or just looking for your crew, this is the easiest way to meet people your age in the region.
Premier events
Our events sell out. From rooftop soirees to barn dances, we bring hundreds of people together across the DMV, working with the best local venues, musicians, and small businesses to make nights that are memorable, stylish, and well run.
Faith through friendship
DSC is rooted in a Catholic vision and open to everyone. We think authentic community changes lives, and that joyful, high-energy gatherings are a good way to meet it.
Our story
To our friends and community,
When I graduated from George Mason University in 2019, I struggled for nearly a year in isolation without solid friendships or community.
Through local parish involvement and an independent Catholic men’s group I started with two buddies of mine, I began to build the friendships I had been longing for.
In 2021 I launched DC Social Collective as a COVID effort to help restore and rebuild the young adult community that was lost to the pandemic. Since then it has helped thousands of young adults across DC, Maryland, and Virginia find and build real friendships of their own.
If you know someone who is struggling the way I did after college, please send them our way at info@dcsocialcollective.com.
With gratitude,
Christopher Byrne

Questions people ask
What is DC Social Collective?
A young adult events company and a community that brings about 6,000 people a year out across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. We plan and run nights out that bring people together to dance, meet, and celebrate.
How old is the crowd?
Mostly twenties to early thirties. Events are built primarily for young adults 18 to 35.
Is it only parties?
No. We run formal galas, rooftop soirees, fundraisers, live music nights, and seasonal farm dances. The point is community, and dancing turns out to be a good way to get there.
Is this a singles group?
No. Events are for everyone: singles, couples, and anyone in between. More than a few couples have met at DSC and gone on to get married, but there's no pressure.
I've never danced. Will I be lost?
Dance nights start with a beginner lesson, usually 45 minutes, taught for people who have never done it. Most of the room learned that way.
